Duties include monitoring residents, reporting changes, and collecting and recording medication administration. Your Responsibilities • Administers prescribed medications and treatments as defined by state regulations in accordance with approved techniques and notes time and amount on resident’s chart. • Deliver routine daily medications as prescribe by physician to residents; pass resident medications in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record (MAR). • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms and records; Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered and reports to nursing supervisor. • Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified procedures • Document completion of tasks delivered on a daily basis; Document any observed change of condition in accordance with local rules and regulations. • Communicate between Med Techs/Med Aides about resident needs for consistent quality services. • Participate in meal service including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room; Assures that residents are positioned appropriately for meals; Assures that appropriate utensils are within reach of residents; Serves food trays and assists with feeding as indicated; Delivers and documents all a.m., p.m., and bedtime snacks and supplements; Provides hydration to all residents according to center policy. • Responsible for knowledge of proper procedures to provide personal care services to residents; provide requested personal care services to residents. • Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies Nurse Supervisor or Physician of resident’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. • Records and restocks medication inventories. • Prepares equipment and aids nurses
