Responsibilities: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting a positive and friendly environment Administer medications, as directed by healthcare professionals Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients Prepare and serve meals according to clients' dietary restrictions and preferences Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings, as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided Requirements : 40 Hr Certificate, Active HHA 75 hour certificate, CNA license (Required) Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required Must have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must have a current CPR certification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skill proficiency. What to Expect in This Role Day-to-Day

Your day typically begins with morning routines — helping residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and getting to breakfast. Throughout the shift, you will assist with meals, escort residents to activities, monitor for changes in behavior or health, and document everything in the care log. Vital signs checks happen at regular intervals, and you will be the first person to notice if something seems off with a resident.

The team dynamic is close-knit. You will work alongside other aides, report to the charge nurse, and communicate with families who visit. In memory care units, redirection and engagement activities are a big part of the role — keeping residents calm, oriented, and socially active. The work is physically and emotionally demanding, but many aides describe deep bonds with the residents they care for and a sense of purpose that keeps them in the field long-term.
