Job Description
U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse to provide patient training and support for home dialysis patients across various locations. This temporary or short-term travel position offers nursing relief while helping patients transition to home hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis modalities.
What You'll Do- Train patients and care partners in self-care peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis techniques
- Conduct home visits to assess patient environments and improve quality of care
- Manage patient education, medication administration, and lab work with critical value communication
- Document all nursing services in electronic medical records for continuity of care
- Support program growth through supply inventory management and quality improvement initiatives
- Current, active RN license in applicable state maintained in good standing
- 12 months clinical nursing experience; 3 months in specific modality (6 months for Texas)
- CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications required within 90 days

Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies. The documentation load in senior living is significant — state surveys and compliance requirements mean thorough charting is non-negotiable. Many nurses in this setting say the most rewarding part is knowing their residents personally and being able to notice subtle changes that a rotating hospital nurse might miss.
