Lewisville Estates Senior Living Community is currently seeking Med Techs to cares for the residents under the direction and supervision of the Assisted Living Director. Now hiring for the following schedule: Full Time - 6:00 am to 2:00 pm Weekend - 6:00 am to 2:00 pm PRN - All Shifts Responsibilities: Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations as directed by the LPN/LVN and/or the Assisted Living Director. Caring for the residents as if they were an extension of your own family. Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, toileting). Assisting some residents with Ambulation and Transferring. Takes and records vital signs. Measures and records height and weight. Calculates and records fluid intake and output. Recognizes abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor. Provides emotional and social support to residents. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Previous experience as a caregiver required. Previous experience as a med tech required. Previous experience working with the Senior Living Community preferred. Caregiver Certification and/or Medication Aide Certification preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent (GED). What to Expect in This Role Day-to-Day

Your day typically begins with morning routines — helping residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and getting to breakfast. Throughout the shift, you will assist with meals, escort residents to activities, monitor for changes in behavior or health, and document everything in the care log. Vital signs checks happen at regular intervals, and you will be the first person to notice if something seems off with a resident.

The team dynamic is close-knit. You will work alongside other aides, report to the charge nurse, and communicate with families who visit. In memory care units, redirection and engagement activities are a big part of the role — keeping residents calm, oriented, and socially active. The work is physically and emotionally demanding, but many aides describe deep bonds with the residents they care for and a sense of purpose that keeps them in the field long-term.
