Job Description
Join Medical City Dallas as a Neonatal ICU Occupational Therapist and make a meaningful impact on patient care. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver compassionate, evidence-based therapy within a leading tertiary care center committed to excellence and community engagement.
What You'll Do- Evaluate patient functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans with physicians and care teams.
- Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions promoting healing, independence, and quality of life.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and maintain timely clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and families to build confidence and engagement throughout recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners and mentor therapy assistants or students.
- Bachelor's Degree with OTR or OT credential.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start.
- Ability to work full-time day shifts in a NICU setting.

Infection control protocols are more rigorous than in hotels or commercial cleaning, especially during flu season or respiratory illness outbreaks.
Maintenance staff handle a daily work order queue β everything from changing light bulbs and fixing call buttons to HVAC maintenance and plumbing repairs. Life-safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers, exit lighting, generator testing) happen on set schedules. Activities professionals plan and lead group programming β exercise classes, crafts, music sessions, outings β and also provide one-on-one engagement for residents who cannot participate in group settings. Social workers manage care conferences, discharge planning, family mediation, and community resource referrals. Across all these roles, the common thread is that you become a familiar, trusted presence in residents' daily lives.
