Job Description

KidsCare Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide therapy services to children with special needs in their homes. If you're passionate about pediatrics and want work-life balance, this therapist-operated company could be your next opportunity.

What You'll Do
  • Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy for pediatric patients in home settings
  • Provide clinical treatment including screenings, evaluations, direct treatment, and family training
  • Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines
  • Maintain communication with patients and families regarding progress and home programs
  • Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, and mentoring activities
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required
  • Current state-issued professional license and valid driver's license
  • CPR certified; pediatric and home health experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with proficient computer abilities
  • Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds and work in diverse residential settings

Infection control protocols are more rigorous than in hotels or commercial cleaning, especially during flu season or respiratory illness outbreaks.

Maintenance staff handle a daily work order queue β€” everything from changing light bulbs and fixing call buttons to HVAC maintenance and plumbing repairs. Life-safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers, exit lighting, generator testing) happen on set schedules. Activities professionals plan and lead group programming β€” exercise classes, crafts, music sessions, outings β€” and also provide one-on-one engagement for residents who cannot participate in group settings. Social workers manage care conferences, discharge planning, family mediation, and community resource referrals. Across all these roles, the common thread is that you become a familiar, trusted presence in residents' daily lives.
