Job Description

Park Village Healthcare and Rehabilitation - Must have a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to be considered for this position. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse Assist with patient mobility and transfers Provide emotional support and companionship to patients Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment Assist with documentation and charting of patient information Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism Skills: Patient service: Providing excellent care and service to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Vital signs: Measuring and recording essential signs of life, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Memory care: Assisting patients with memory impairments by providing support, redirection, and engaging activities. Infection control protocols are more rigorous than in hotels or commercial cleaning, especially during flu season or respiratory illness outbreaks.

Maintenance staff handle a daily work order queue β€” everything from changing light bulbs and fixing call buttons to HVAC maintenance and plumbing repairs. Life-safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers, exit lighting, generator testing) happen on set schedules. Activities professionals plan and lead group programming β€” exercise classes, crafts, music sessions, outings β€” and also provide one-on-one engagement for residents who cannot participate in group settings. Social workers manage care conferences, discharge planning, family mediation, and community resource referrals. Across all these roles, the common thread is that you become a familiar, trusted presence in residents' daily lives.
