Job Description
ResCare Community Living, part of the Sevita family, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide quality home and community-based care. You'll empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently while delivering person-centered services.
What You'll Do- Conduct assessments, implement health care plans, and monitor patients' conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and external medical centers to prioritize patient outcomes
- Provide technical assistance, medical oversight, and staff training for extraordinary care
- Use clinical judgment to meet patients' biological, physical, and behavioral needs
- Identify and advocate for patient wellbeing across home and community settings
- Accredited RN degree with current state RN license and CPR/First Aid certification
- Minimum one year of nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Reliable, responsible, compassionate, and flexible demeanor
- Valid driver's license and access to registered vehicle with proof of insurance

Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies. The documentation load in senior living is significant — state surveys and compliance requirements mean thorough charting is non-negotiable. Many nurses in this setting say the most rewarding part is knowing their residents personally and being able to notice subtle changes that a rotating hospital nurse might miss.
