Job Description
Medical City Denton seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Emergency Department on the night shift (7P-7A). This leadership role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all department functions.
What You'll Do
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient throughput
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with management
- Create a teamwork environment with subject matter experts to improve outcomes
- Support staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with productivity guidelines
- Provide recommendations on hiring, training, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 days of hire)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (within 30 days of hire)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within 90 days of hire)
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course and Trauma Nursing Core Course (within 18 months)

Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies. The documentation load in senior living is significant — state surveys and compliance requirements mean thorough charting is non-negotiable. Many nurses in this setting say the most rewarding part is knowing their residents personally and being able to notice subtle changes that a rotating hospital nurse might miss.
