Job Description
Join Life Care Home Health Family as a Licensed Vocational Nurse providing skilled nursing care to patients in their homes. Serve clients across Texas, Florida, Nevada, and Georgia while making a meaningful difference in their lives.
What You'll Do
- Administer nursing care under RN supervision following individualized Plans of Care
- Assist clients in recovery, maintenance of life functions, and illness prevention
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, interdisciplinary teams, and healthcare professionals
- Monitor assigned cases for compliance with third-party payer requirements
- Complete timely documentation and maintain patient care continuity with infection control measures
Requirements
- Current LVN/LPN license in good standing and valid CPR certificate
- Completion of accredited Licensed Vocational/Practical Nursing program
- One year clinical care experience as an LVN/LPN; home health experience preferred
- Reliable transportation with auto liability insurance and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift/transfer up to 50 lbs, work flexible schedules, and handle stressful situations

Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies. The documentation load in senior living is significant — state surveys and compliance requirements mean thorough charting is non-negotiable. Many nurses in this setting say the most rewarding part is knowing their residents personally and being able to notice subtle changes that a rotating hospital nurse might miss.
