Description Anticipated Compensation: $34 to $36 per hour Location: Combination of Field days (Pediatric Home Health) and In-Office days The Clinical Care Supervisor role is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) looking to expand into case management and leadership while continuing to provide direct skilled nursing care. The Clinical Care Supervisor will serve as a mentor, preceptor, and clinical liaison while also providing hands-on nursing care to pediatric home health patients. In this role, you will: Deliver skilled nursing services in accordance with patient care plans, agency policies, and physician orders Demonstrate pediatric competency and strong clinical judgment while working independently Assist with managing a caseload of clients, developing personalized treatment plans, and coordinating care Assist with onboarding new nursing hires, including orientation and competency check offs Provide mentorship and precepting for direct care staff, both in the home and office settings Conduct comprehensive assessments, supervisory visits, and re-evaluations to ensure quality patient care Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Home Health, pediatric, and/or office experience a plus Location & Travel Requirements The Clinical Care Supervisor will split time between: Working shifts in patients' homes, providing direct nursing care. Work on-site at the office when not in the field, supporting clinical operations, staff training, and administrative duties. Routine travel within the service area is required for patient home visits. The nurse-to-resident ratio in assisted living is generally more favorable than in hospitals, but you will likely be the highest-level clinical staff on the floor during your shift, which means more autonomy and more responsibility for clinical judgment calls.

What to Expect in This Role Day-to-Day

Based on typical senior living facilities in the DFW area.

A typical shift starts with medication pass and resident assessments. You will review overnight notes from the previous shift, check vitals for residents on your watch list, and coordinate with CNAs on any changes in condition. Mid-shift usually involves documentation, family communication, and working with physicians on care plan updates — often by phone or telehealth rather than in-person rounds.

Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies. The documentation load in senior living is significant — state surveys and compliance requirements mean thorough charting is non-negotiable. Many nurses in this setting say the most rewarding part is knowing their residents personally and being able to notice subtle changes that a rotating hospital nurse might miss.
